I just bought SilverFast, but I tried the trial and did not have this problem.
I go through the Workflow Pilot to scan some 4x5 sheets. I chose Archive, 16 bit HDR RAW, selected the area on the scanner, and scanned the image. What I get in the final file is a negative image. Not the reversed negative, like the preview showed me.
I tried scanning not through Workflow pilot, but the Negative option is unselectable. I can only choose positive.
Any idea how to get it to actually scan properly?

Re: Preview not matching scans
Dear customer,
The HDR(i) RAW format is an archive format for our archive suite workflow.
These files are saved unchanged for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
Please use a normal 16->8 or 16 bit output if you would like to save processed files.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
