In scanning a Kodachrome slide which is perfectly exposed results in a very dark scan, and increasing the mid tome slide makes it a bit lighter, but not enough. I am new to this and have done about 4 slides earlier but they had not resulted in a dark outcome. Any solution or help appreciated

Dear customer,

Please check if you maybe have selected one of the 48/64 Bit HDR(i) archive formats.
These are saved unchanged for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
They are saved with an unchanged gamma of 1.0 and therefor look very dark.

Try using 48->24 Bit or normal 48 Bit (available in Ai Studio).

The option to increase the dynamic range in SilverFast is called Multi-Exposure (ME) and is available in SilverFast SE Plus and Ai Studio.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
