I've just bought a plustek 8200ai which comes with a 35mm IT8 slide. How do I use it? I presume I have to scan this first to set up scanner?
Any help appreciated.

Re: Using an IT8 slide
Dear customer,
You simply start SilverFast Ai Studio.
Then insert the slide and simply press the IT8 button.
The rest is an automatic procedure.
You might be asked for the reference file in case that can not be obtained automatically.
For SilverFast targets thy can be downloaded here.
For third party targets please download the reference file from the manufacturer homepage.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Using an IT8 slide
Ah, thank you. Will this work on all different types of film or do I need to change anything?

Re: Using an IT8 slide
Dear customer,
The calibration will be valid for all positive films.
It does not calibrate the Kodachrome mode as this requires a special target.
But it will be valid for all images scanned in normal positiv mode.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
