Has anyone tried this as an alternative to using HDR Studio?
I've got some good results through trial and error. Here's what I've been doing:
Scan to 48 bit HDR TIF format. (In Options, set Gama at 2.2 and tick the HDR Output checkbox.)
Open in Photoshop
Assign (not convert to) Adobe RGB colourspace
Apply auto-levels (find dark & light colours - selecting Snap Neutral Midtones sometimes helps for originals with colour casts)
Increase midtone (by about 1.7 for normal reversal film)
I can get pleasing results with Kodachrome by dialling in +15 yellow.
Anyone else tried this?

Hello John,
That sounds interesting! Have you tried using Adobe ACR? What made you try Photoshop Vs. using HDR Studio in the first place if you don't mind my asking?
