I have been having a problem with the SRD function. When I first got my scanner (Epson V700) and installed the Silverfast software the SRD section had 3 buttons - Black, White, and Black and White. It also had 3 sliders - Detection, Defect size, and Intensity. When I updated to the newer version on the website it changed to 2 buttons - Black, and White. And now has only 2 sliders - Detection, and Defect size.
I can no longer seem to get it to remove both white and black errors. Attached are a screen shot of how it is now and a section from the manual showing how it used to be. Note that the manual is still on the website so I know I am not imagining the changes. Could anyone tell me how to set it to both black and white errors, not just one or the other.

Re: SRD has changed?
Dear customer,
The SRD correction was optimised which required the removal of the Black&White button, because it did not produce the desired results.
White and black defects are best corrected on separate layers.
The Intensity slider is no longer necessary.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: SRD has changed?
Dear Mr. Ketelhohn,
having tried the new SRD for B&W negative scans without success I wonder what I am doing wrong. Whatever settings I use, not a single scratch or dust speck could be corrected thus far successfully. In fact, the corrections applied often do seem to avoid the dust specks and scratches as good as they can. However, corrections with SF6 were applied successfully. So I do not see an improvement in the algorithm, on the contrary ...

Re: SRD has changed?
Dear Mr Röser,
We did adjust SilverFast's SRD for B&W images in version r41.
Did this occur with a current up-to-date version?
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: SRD has changed?
Of course!
According to the date of my inquiry this must have been version 45.
