Picture Settings not working for Transparency

I'm sure it's me, or something I'm doing, or some parameter that has changed that I can't find, but... I used to be able to (but can no longer) adjust Picture Settings when scanning transparencies (in my case, large format glass slides). If I change from Transparency to Reflective then there Picture Settings becomes active. Only for Transparency does this appear to be a problem.

Scanner: Epson V700
Silverfast version: 8.0.1.r41

Dear customer,

have you maybe selected oe of the 16/32/48/64 bit HDR(i) archive formats?
These are saved unchanged for later processing in SilverFast HDR Studio.
This deactivates all image changing options.
