I just purchased a Plustek OpticFilm 120 to scan all my Farther's Old Box and Brownie Box Camera Pre during and Post Second Wold War Pictures.
Also all our 120mm & 35mm Negatives.

I have an issue that it looks like the unit needs calibrating, because it cuts all my negatives in half.
It cam with calibration things but no instructions how to calibrate it.
Also it previews the pictures at 45 deg not up and down
I'm not a photographer so Im new to this.
We have combined over 7000 Negatives to scan from 1917 through to 1988.
Is there a concise Manual for this unit and the SilverFast Ai Studio 8 as what I have in the package
is not very us full to me. And online is the same as I have already.

Dear Alan,

The IT8 calibration is an automated process.
You simply need to insert the slide and press the IT8 button.

However the film position has nothing to do with the calibration.

The scanner unfortunately cannot fine adjust the image positions.
It is necessary to position the images correctly in the holder.
It is also necessary that the right film format is selected.

Make sure that you are using the latest SilverFast version.
On Windows systems it is also necessary to install the latest drivers from Plustek.
