Friends,
I have a scanner that I verymuch like
{ epson perfection V700 } and I am using silverfast se 6 on an xp 32 system.
all is well - in fact bussiness has picked up and I wish to do the following
My Q -- Is this possible
I want to have 2 epson perfection V700 ( via usb ) connected to 1 computer
and run 2 instances of silverlight at the same time . i wish to run both scanners at the same time .
I wish to double my throughput. Ideally 2 scanners , 1 computer , 1 operator.
Is that possible?
and if so do you have a suggestion of configuration.
eg silverfast 8 ( 2 lic ) and one win 7 64 computer.
or must I have 2 systems
1 computer - 1 scanner
and another 1 computer - 1 scanner
Thank you
jim S

Re: 2 scanners at a time 1 computer
Dear Jim,
Theoretically it is possible to run several instances of SilverFast.
But I strongly advise against this due to the large amount of system resources required.
A 32 Bit system will surely not be powerful enough to do so.
A very powerful 64 bit system could be used.
But we do not test such setups and I can not guarantee it will perform normally.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
