IT8 durability

Postby Gellidius » Sat Dec 28, 2013 5:57 pm

i just upgraded to Ai Studio 8 and am waiting to receive the IT8 Kodak card.

Around 1980 i bought a Macbeth Color Checker which was always kept in total darkness and
in a temperate environment,
but for a long time now, the colors have faded a good amount.

i would like to know what i should do in order to keep the IT8 card in its original
condition for as long a time as possible.

Dear customer,

Always keep the IT8 target in a dry cold storage.
Direct light is the targets greatest threat.
It should also be keapt dry because there are certain molds/fungi which can destroy film material.

But do not place it in a freezer.
That again can damage the carrier material.

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
