As there are alternative resolutions available for scanning. Is there any specific recommendations for old B&W photos?
Thanks

Dear customer,

The resolution mainly defines the size of the final image.
This is not emulsion specific.
However some scanners can reach resolutions above the effective resolutions of certain film emulsions.
This can cause the film grain to become visible.

Normally you should do some scans at various resolutions and take a look which image size you need.
Using a image viewer set to 100% will give you a good impression on how large your image actually is.

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
