Some pre-info:
Working with an Reflecta RPS 7200 combined with Silverfast 8 on a PC with Windows 8.
Current problem occured while scanning film strips of 6 dia's from the brand Afga.
The actual problem:
It seems dat the results of my batch scans are darker then individual scans. If i scan a picture with darker areas in a batch scan the darker area appears
to be completely black, or almost black. If I scan the particular dia in a single scan the result is lighter! Maybe someone has an answer how to fix this problem.
Could it be that I checked a wrong box in the preferences of maybe need to uncheck one?

Re: Batch scans are darker then individual scans
Dear customer,
Please make sure you did not select one of the 16/32/48/64 HDR(i) formats.
Those are raw image formats which are saved unchanged.
These images appear very dark because the gamma is not adjusted.
Did you activate the image auto adjustment for ADF scans in the preferences' auto tab?
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn

Re: Batch scans are darker then individual scans
I do not have the image auto adjustment for ADF scans. I only have the option batch scan with auto adjust.
A few update ago you guys decided to remove the ADF scan option and fuse it with the Batch scan option.
I did not select the HDR(i) formats. So that did not fix the problem. Is it also correct that the 16 bit option does not provide color scans?

Dear customer,
Yes you are right that option got renamed, but provides the same function as the ADF.
16 bit is a one channel grayscale format, that is right.
The color output would be 48 bit.
The formats with HDR(i) behind them are raw image formats for processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
