I used to be able to create TIFF files with 16bits of color depth with the version of SilverFast software that came with my scanner, Epson V750 Pro. Since LaserSoft decided to not support the OSX Lion with the v6 of SilverFast, I was forced to purchase an upgrade and I ended up getting SilverFast 8 SE based on the comparison PDF you have on the site - the more expensive versions didn't seem to have anything I needed.
Having now actually used 8 SE for a while, I noticed that it seems to be impossible to create TIFF files with 16 bits of color depth. The only 48 bit option available in the software, 48bit HDR, outputs uncorrected negative so I'm assuming that is the "RAW-format" from the scanner and would need another LaserSoft application to process. So: how do I get normal 16bit TIFF files with SilverFast8? Is it not possible any more??
16bit color depth TIFF files with Silverfast 8? How??
