64-bit HDRi with Doug Fisher's Betterscanning film holders

Hi,

I'm considering giving Doug Fisher's Betterscanning Variable Height Dual MF Film Holder a try with my Epson V750-M Pro.

Wondering if anyone here is using this film holder in conjunction with 64-bit HDRi, and if so, are there any known issues?

My understanding is that 64-bit HDRi is only available when scanning using the film holder (versus full area).

Thanks!

Tim

Hi Tim,

Don't know about Dough Fischer'S holders. We will wait for contributions from other users.

It is right for some scanners like the Epson Perfection V750 or V700 where the infrared lamp is only available in normal transparency mode (not in full area).

Cheers

Well, this response is so late that I doubt it's value.
Still-I use the 'Better Scanning" film holders with Ai Studio, which works well, and for the Epson users, gives the benifit of fine tuning the focus.
I think the point about using holders (and not the scanner glass) is that the film is higher than the glass, so uses the correct lens.
