Choosing SilverFast product with Job Manager

I need help choosing the right SilverFast product.

We scan and reprint books with color covers. Usually the pages are 8.5x11 size with color graphics.

I need a throughput of at least 1 page per minute. This timing needs to include descreening and conversion to CMYK. This will permit us to scan a 500 page book in an 8 hour shift.

Two EPSON models considered are:

Epson Perfection V500 Office Scanner with ADF
Epson Perfection 10000XL with ADF.

Specs on the SilverFast web page for these scanners say that the Document Feeder is not supported. I suspect this limitation applies to on-line scanning. I figure SilverFast Job Manager should be able to process a folder of images after they are scanned.

So the question: is which version of SilverFast will support descreening and CMYK conversion as a post process using Job Manager?

Dear customer,

Full descreening options for post-processing are available in SilverFast HDR studio with CMYK output.
We also offer the Hot-Folder option which allows automatic processing of images from an input folder into an output folder with settings you can pre-configure in SilverFast HDR studio.

kind regards

Great answer. We would also like to know if SilverFast HDR studio can be used in post-processing mode with other scanners that might not be listed as supported. For example the fujitsu fi-5530c2.

Dear Bob,

SilverFast HDR Studio is a program to work with digital images, it does not operate any scanner. If the pictures were created with the Fuji scanner most likely they can be opened by HDR Studio (unless they have their own proprietary format).

Please download and test the demo version of SilverFast HDR Studio here: http://www.silverfast.com/get_demo/en.html
