Optical resolution 4800 or 6400 for slideholder?

I want to scan mounted slides (using slideholder) at maximum optical resolution for V750. F5 key does say hardware resolution is 6400, but was wondering if I should set output to 4800 since I am using slideholder? I think Epson only uses 6400 lens for postives directly on scanner or is that just Epson software?
Also, saw on forum that someone advised changing Q factor to 1 instead of 1.5 if printing to an inkjet printer (I have Epson 2200.) Is that advice right or wrong?
Thanks.
