Epson Perfection 3200 - No Scanner Found

Haven't used my scanner in a while. I just updated SilverFast AI to 6.6.1r1b and when trying to launch SilverFast OR Import via Photoshop CS3, I get the message.......There was No Scanner Found!

I've tried a new firewire cord, tried a new firewire port, the scanner is on, I've uninstalled SilverFast and reinstalled, I'm at a loss.

Please help.....Scanning is important part of my job this time of year!

Dear Customer,

could you please try the following:
got to your sytem preferences -> Network
Now delete the FireWire interface from the list of network devices afterwards please do a reboot.

Please let me know if SilverFast sees the scanner now.

I did what you suggested and it still does not see the scanner. I'm thinking that it's my Firewire ports maybe?
