does anyone have any experience scannng dental x rays , I recently bought an epson V700 photo scanner & am trying to scan dental x rays. There are 2 sizes a large panoramic one & a small one measuring about 32mm by 40mm. Does anyone have the settings on how to scan these.

I have tried & have reasonable reasons on full auto mode but for the smaller X rays results were very poor . I also have the silverfast imaging software silverfast SE that comes with the scanner but I don't really know how to use it.

Could anyone help. Thanks in advance.

dear starastar,

are you aware that there is a dedicated SilverFast X-ray for scanning xrays.

Scanning xrays is pretty special and therefore we came up with a special version tha has all the necessary settings implemented and a pretty neat xray automatic 8) .

Best,

JAN

I have SF Ai 6.6.1r2 (i think, but it is the latest, downloaded just this week), we need to scan a couple of XRays, can you please tell me what the settings needs to be using Ai, as we only scan a few per year, i don't want to go to the extend to purchase a full blown X-Ray version.

Dear Sonortica,

No, there is not an X-ray version for your scanner model, here you can find the X-ray site and the supported scanners: http://www.silverfast.com/show/silverfast-x-ray/en.html
