Dear all
I bought an Epson Perfection V700 Photo to scan dental x rays . Can anyone tell me what settings to use with the silverfast SE software / the epson soft ware . I have 2 sizes to scan one is the small x ray measuring about 32mm by 40 mm and 1 larger panoramic x ray.

I tried remove the white board on the lid but the photos that came out are just weird

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Dear Starastar,

I believe you might try the snow filter in SilverFast to see if you can enhance your results.

cheers

I use an Epson 3170 for scanning dental xrays and I do not think I have the SilverFast
For PAs I use the settings with the white board out of the scanner:
Professional mode
Name: current settings
Doc type: transparency
Film type: positive film
image type: 8bit grayscale
Resolution: 600
Traget size: original

For the panorex with white board/back ground in:
Professional mode
current setting
reflective
document table
8bit grayscale
6oo
original

The PA needs no modification. The pano I have to adust a little for darkness. But the radiographs turn out as good quality for sending to referrals etc. I am still adjusting the settings and made all this up on my own. I do not have any extra software except what came with the 3170 scanner. Hope this helps TK
