Is there any chance to use Epson Perfection 1200s on Vista?

I have Epson Perfection 1200s SCSI scanner connected to Windows Vista 32bit. Really perfect scanner, fast, precise and reliable. But, no drivers from Epson, neither listed as supported in Silverfast SE/AI/AI Studio.
Could it either be supported in Silverfast SE/AI/AI Stuudio or I should search for another peace of hardware?

Hi,
you could try our latest demo version with your Scanner.
If your SCSI card is working properly with Vista the chance is good that SilverFast will be able to communicate with the Scanner.

I have Adaptec 2940 U2W (AIC 78xx driver from adaptec). Scanner is detected in device manager as "Epson Perfection 1200S Processor Target".
What demo version should I try? SE/AI/AI Studio? Twain or Standalone?

I would try the standalone version of either the SE or AI line of SilverFast.

Seems that it's not supported.
Silverfast both AI and SE, both standalone and twain demo versions (6.6.0r6 8ba) doesn't detect scanner.
Scanner have the following IDs at Device Manager Device Properties:
SCSI\ProcessorEPSON___Perfection1200__1.03
SCSI\ProcessorEPSON___Perfection1200__
SCSI\ProcessorEPSON___
SCSI\EPSON___Perfection1200__1
EPSON___Perfection1200__1
Is there any plans to make it working in the SilverFast?
I'd risk to suggest that it couldn't be very different for example from the nearest Epson SCSI scanner Perfection 1640SU which is supported.

We managed to get the Scanner running with SilverFast.
Please download the "Epson Twain 2.0" archive for this scanner from
www.epson.com .
Unpack the file and you will have a folder with a driver for Windows 2000.
Now go into your device manager to other devices where your epson scanner should be listed
click on update driver and point windows to the epson twain Windows 2000 folder.
Now SilverFast should recognise the scanner. Please note that we just discovered this and in this short period of time we could not test
the complete functionality of SilverFast, so I would really reccomend you to test the demo.

Couldn't you point more precisely what file and from what site should I download?
Epson support areas are very different from region to region. For example on epson UK site only "Epson Scan Utility v3.0u " is listed in drivers section for Perfection 1200, at US support area the following files are listed for Windows at the same area:
Twain Driver v 5.53a
Twain Driver v 4.2
Perfection 1200 USB & SCSI Windows 98 INF File
Epson Scan! II 32 Utility v2.35E
TWAIN Driver v4.0
I was unsuccessful in finding "Epson Twain 2.0" at these areas.
And, are you sure that windows 2000 files from that distribution will work under Windows Vista?
