hi,

I work in a Research University analizing satellite images, and i want to find the way of my images have the best resolution possible, when i zoom them i can check their properties without pixeling... and another question... how can i disable all the filters.

I have a Epson Expression 1680 scanner and my silverfast software is an old version ( i think so) SilverFast Ai 5.

is this possible???.... or i need purchase another scanner or another software???

thanks..

Dear Gabriel,

We do not support SilverFast 5 anymore. And I never really worked with it.
But if the version already has an HDR output (16bitHDR[B/W] or 48/36bitHDR) you can use that.
The HDR files are high bitdepth "raw" .tiff images.
The HDR setting disables any filters and sets the gamma to 1.0 (this can be changed in the options).

If HDR is not offered you might want to take a look at the SilverFast 6.6 SEplus or Ai Studio Demo.
Not only does SilverFast 6.6 offer HDR export the plus and studio versions offer the MultiExposure feature which enhances the dynamic range of scans.
If you are scanning transparent film you might be interested in this feature because it enhances the darker areas of the image by multiple hardwarescans.

kind regards
