With the latest 6.5.5r4 release, it looks like support for Digital ICE is missing? Is this coming in the next release?
Also when scanning medium format 6x7 transparencies, it only allows a maximum of 3200 dpi, will 4800 and 6400 dpi be enabled soon?
SilverFast features support for V500
Dear seeker
unfortunately this doesn't depend on the release version, but on the kind of ICE license bought by Epson which is not transferable in case of the V500. So, the feature won't become available in a future upgrade as far as I can tell right now. I am sorry about this, please excuse any inconveniences experienced.

v500 3200 DPI limitation?
I'm ok without ICE with the v500, but what about being able to scan above 3200? When I try to scan above 3200, I get an error message about lowering the scanner resolution.

Dear Seeker,
I just tested this behavior with our Epson V500 and what you experience is a limitation in the scanners hardware as it is only capable of scanning 65.535 bytes per line.
You will have the same error message in Epson Scan when selecting 48Bit Scan and the same area as in SilverFast.
Please remember that SilverFast always recieves 48 Bit data from the scanner to enhance the quality and get the full dynamic range the Scanner is capable of, even when selecting 24 Bit as output format.
kindest regards,
