On Epson GT-30000 SF is not scanning the last page when it is running his ADF in duplex mode. Last action of SF is that the last sheed of paper is placed correct on the scannerglas with side 2 down but then SF plays his finished sound, forgetting to scan the last page.

Scanner is flashing red, SF is playing music. :-(

I know, official SF is not supporting ADF but maybe someone can fix that nevertheless.

Dear Thomas

I am sorry, but the ADF unit isn't supported by SilverFast:

Yes, you are right. The webpage says that adf is not supportet by sf.

If someone uses your software with the epson GT-30000, he finds that the adf is working fine in the single mode but faulty in duplex mode because the last sheet of paper is scanned only on one side.

This looks to me like a bug and if someone asking me about SF, I can only say, SF is fine but a little bit buggy on Epson GT30000, Mac-Version. I think that this is not a good advertisement for sf, looks a little bit like, SF is not interested in delivering bugfree Software.

Ok, SF says, adf is not supported... Ok, so it is not a bug, it is feature.

I think someone at silverfast has written the code that is driving the adf and i think this person has thought someting by doing that. Did you think that too?

Can you explain me why sf is unable to fix that problem? Is SF not interested in selling perfect and good and bugfree software? The code is complete and the ADF is working fine, why is SF not doing this little fix too? If they do, SF can say, now, we are supporting ADF on Epson GT30000? The work is finished at 99,99%, only the last page is not scanned. I think, that there is not so much work to fix this bug and make your Epson GT-30000 users smiling. Not interested in doing that?

Confused.

Greetings Thomas

Dear Mr. Shaeffer,
its as simple as this:
We don't have a working 3000 with ADF here, so we could cannot develop / test it !

And the demand for it ( to be true ) is simply not enough to justify the costs of material and work involved in this Project.

Greetings,
