Multiple Exposure supposed to work Canon 8800f

I've looked over this forum and have fround what is supposed to "turn on" ME. I thought it was 48 bit color or 48 HDR scan stype settings. When I turn it "on" nothing but multiple scans is available. Silverfast's site says my Canon 8800F is supposed to work.

Little help here please.

What you may have missed is that ME is only for transparency scans and not for reflective scans.
