hi,
i scan 4x5inch-Negatives and -Positives solely!
Currently i own a Epson 4870photo and want to by a new epson scanner.
By now, I could not find out, which one would be the best Scanner for my needs: the 4990, the 750 or the 750pro.
Software: I already have Silverfast AIStudio.
Please help me out :)

well, there is one obvious answer: the Best would be the V750 Pro of course :-)
But the only way of really answering this is if you ask yourself:
Which Quality do i really need to justify the higher costs ?!
It is always kind of a gamble, so either you browse the web for testimonials / comparisons and the like ( which you do now, hopefully some Users will answer ) , or you try to have one image of yours scanned on every scanner in Question and then decide !
This of course would require a good Dealer, but maybe you give it a try, its the only way of not "gambling" too much !
Obviously such a Dealer will want some more money than an Online Shop but i think your own well-feeling about your decision is worth the price.
Just my 2 Eurocents....

P.S. you have to take a look if/which Version of SilverFast is bundled in the offer that you check out.
If no SilverFast version ( or at least no full version ) is bundled you can cross update your version to the new scanner.
