IT8 Targets V750 pro

Hi

I own an V750 pro and upgraded the software to the IT8 version.

The scanner came with some targets included, but not the silverfast ones as they had no bar code on the bottom.

Where can I buy the silverfast ones to profile for transparency and b&w negative?

Dear Mark,
of course you can buy them from us ( LaserSoft Imaging AG that is ).
Please contact our sales for that.
There is no need to buy an additional target for bw negatives as icc is not used in negative mode but for positive transparencies a transparency IT8 target from us is very useful.

As if yes you can (sorry Lasersoft) calibrate your scanner already. Having got a filmscanner I calibrate with a target provided by LS, too I can assure you both works fine in combination with SF.

Of course though targets age and when getting a replacement it's the easiest to get one that works with SF.

Dear jheinzl,
you are perfectly right, please try to judge the Quality / age of the IT8 you have at hand and if you have the correct reference data.
If you calibrate with a wrong / bad / defective IT8 Target, results are 99% worse than without calibrating at all...
