Epson 750 w AI

I'm working with a customer on a new V750 Eposn using Silverfast AI.

Saturated colors in our scans look good, but we are seeing poor neutrals especially near the highlight.

We have tried using the embeded color management controls, then tried turnin them off and using the spuulied profiles in Photoshop but got the same results.

We then made custom profiles using an individually measured IT8.7/2 (measured on spectroscan) and a Hutchcolor 4x5 fuji for transparency. Profiles were made in Monaco Profiler. We tried using these profiles both within sFast and externally but get similar results- the neutrals are turning green at high L*. We are measuring LAB in photoshop to confirm this "geen-ness", not just looking at output.

I've read the docs and watched the supplied Quicktime clip, but I still think our settings may be part of the problem.

We are setting:

gamma be 1.8

Auto threshold HL and SH both 0. Both are not set to Active.

HL Offset to 0 and SH offset to 100

Color cast = 100. Not active.

CMS is all set to none when we want to apply the scanner profile in Photoshop before converting to AdobeRGB, or we turn the profiles on in the driver and get the same results.

Any ideas?

I sent an email to tech support from the Web site last week but have not yet gotten a reply.

Thanks.

Dear lprestia,

i re-notified our support Team of you rrequest, they should come back to you soon ( holiday time here, we reached capacity... ).
If not, just repost here and i'll be notified.

You could prepare: they probably want samples from you -> maybe a raw scan from the image and the profile you use when not scanning raw.
Maybe you could also *exactly* describe where / what values disturb you if it isn't too obvious...

Greetings,

Nils Heidorn
