hi there,

I am using an Epson 4990 with SE.
now the first negativ scans came out not so good. I expected more Pixels than only 300, and a tool, which let me scan at least one whole negative strip, and which might devide and saves the picturers automaticly.

do I miss a point in setting here, or is this with an upgrade included?

thanks
Chris

Well first ...

... a hello and without wanting to sound unpolite -- you really ought to skim through the documentation for a start.

Basically SF does let you decide, within the limits of the hardware, with which resolution to scan but this is not a negafix issue and for your 'pixels' see the 'Output Resolution Slider'.

As a beginner you may even use the 'Scan Pilot' which sort of guides you through all the steps required to make a scan.

You also may play around with the software first to learn how everything works, still there certainly there will be some reading required as 'going digital', be it scanning your stuff yourself or trying to squeeze out the most of what your DSLR spits out at the other end, means one suddenly needs to know about things formerly only people trained to know needed to know about.

'You press the button, we do the rest' no more.
