Epson 2450 / Silverfast / Crashes CS 3 Final

Using CS 3 and Silverfast my scan crashes right after completion every time. I have a G5 Quad with 9-Gigs of ram. I just tried Silverfast stand alone and it seemed to have worked. I have checked around and it seems this is a common problem. Will there be a fix for this ???

Also firewire and Silverfast does not work ( scanner not found) :x

Dear daveb,
Unfortunately I'm still not able to duplicate the CS3 problems you described. I run SilverFast Epson version 6.5.0r5 on a MacPro and a G5 w/o any crashes neither in batch nor in single scan mode. May I ask you for further information: major scan params (resolution, frame sizes, color mode, target ICC profile, etc.). Screenshots of the General and Frame tab would be helpful.

Thanks for your assistance.

I'm not doing anything special. Every scan at every setting crashes just as the scan finishes. I'm using Silverfast 6.4.4r7a
Here is a screen shot...

I don't think it will help much.

There is no way for me to show you a screen shot of it crashing because it gives no errors. It just gets to the end of the scan and photoshop quits abruptly.

Dear daveb,
in the meanwhile we were able to duplicate this bug and could fix it. After a few outstanding tests we will post a new SilverFast installer on the web site. The SilverFast version will stay the same (6.5.0r6) - just the date of the installer will change (May-15, 2007). Please check our website for the update later to day.

Dear daveb,

The fix for the Photoshop CS3 problem is now available for download from our website. The SilverFast plugin vers. 6.5.0r6 itself has not being changed. Therefor the version number is still the same.
