6.5.0r4 - multi-exposure broken

I have been running AI Studio 6.5.0r3(d and e) on a G5 Mac running Mac OS 10.4.8 and scanning with an Epson 4990 via firewire. Multi-exposure has been very hit and miss due to the alignment problems so I downloaded the latest version to give it a try. Now there is no new multi-exposure button and as expected, the multi-scan button now only selects multi-scan options. Deleting all of the preferences, plugins, application, etc. and re-installing had no effect.
Regards,
Anthony

Dear Anthony,
did you notice the "sun" icon below the multi-sampling button ?!
Because of various requests we decided to add a new Button for MEX instead of mixing it with the Multisampling Button.
I hope that solves YOur Problem, and please be aware that MEX is still only available for 16/48 Bit modes...

Hi Nils,
I'm aware there is supposed to be a new button. There is no button with a sun icon. The button below the multi-sampling button is the "Delete current frame" button. I am scanning 48 bit HDR in transparency mode.

Anthony

I traced the problem to the serial number. When I delete the serial number file (Opt-Shift-S-F), the new ME button returns. When I enter my serial number again, the button goes away again. I will file a support request. The scheme for handling serial numbers appears to have serious flaws. When I first upgraded to 6.5 it was necessary to get a new serial number and now this.

Anthony

Dear Piet,
is it the same setup for you -_> you having a studio version and the MEX button disappears as soon as you register ?!
If so there must have been issued a wrong serial number to you, please also file a support request using the online form, will you ?!
