Settings for using Eye One calibration?

Epson V750 Pro; Silverfast v6.4.3r4a; Photoshop CS2

I have profiled a scanner before (not this scanner and not with Silverfast) by assigning the profile, and then converting to AdobeRGB, both in Photoshop.

I understand that this assignment and conversion can be done in Silverfast, but am not sure of the settings.

My first task is to scan a measured checkerboard chart (not IT-8, but the one supplied by Gretag) to create the profile. But what Silverfast "Options" settings should I have in place for this part of the job?
Is it "Input -> External" = "None", or "ICM".
And is it "Profiles\Input" = "None", or "Epson V700/750 reflective"?

Then when I have measured my scan and created my new profile, do I, for a job scan, set "Input -> External" = "ICM", and set "Profiles\Input" to the new profile?

I'm fairly sure I'm right on this second bit - it's really the settings for doing the calibration scan that I'm concerned about.

Any help much appreciated.

dear alancross,

please choose following settings:

General >> Options >> General: Gamma Gradation: please choose this value which you will use later when scanning your pictures.

General >> Options >> CMS >> Color Management >> Input to Internal : here please choose " None " . This means the Color Management is switched off.

Now you can scan your Gretag Target and create your own " ICC " profile.

After creating the own scanner profile you have to switch on the Color Management:

General >> Options >> CMS >> Color Management >>

Input to Internal : ICM
Internal to Monitor: ICM
Internal to Output: RGB

General >> Options >> CMS >> Profiles for ICM >>

Scanner ( Reflective / Transparency ) : here you have to choose your own new creared scanner icc profile.
