Scanning 35 mm Slides with Epson 4870

I am using SilverFast SE which seems to have solved the following problem. I was getting banding of blue sky with Epson Software, but not with SE. The shading would be repetitive and follow the contours of dark objects (mountains). The images appear to be sharper with SE than with the Epson.
One problem I haven't been able to sort out is this. The scanner will accept 8 slides in the holder, but I can't seem to find out how to scan them sequentially, as I can do this with the Epson software. It is a bit slow doing it one at a time. Also, how would I encorporate Digital Ice with SE?

Older & Wiser, I guess.

I finally figured, ( not difficult ) how to solve the above problems.

cheers

Darn, I thought I had it sorted out, but still can't get 8 slides to scan continously in sequence. I can only get things to do one at a time. This is very tedious if Digitial Ice is engaged.

Can this be done with SE?

When you say, "One at a time", do you mean that you have to click the scan button each time?

If that is the case you will need to upgrade to SilverFast AI which supports batch processing.

That explains things. Too bad Silverfast don't mention this with the instructions. Thanks

They do mention it here.
SilverFast Ai or SilverFast SE?
