Epson 10000XL and Network card

Postby invaderzim » Thu Jan 26, 2006 10:52 pm

Does Silverfast Ai support the Epson 10000XL using the optional Network card? The Epson Scan software sees the scanner but Silverfast can't find it.

If you haven't already you might want to pose this question to LaserSoft support.

Network interface

Postby lepetitcolorieur » Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:55 am

Hello,

I'm Sephane from France and I use an Epson 10000XL with network interface too. I bought the scanner with Silverfast software option and I was very surprised not to be able to make it work. Yes the network card was an other option too.
It is very surprising not to be able to share an expensive scanner with several PC in a same room.

So I asked Lasersoft and they answerd to me 11/29/2005 :

Dear Stephane

cannot tell any date yet, but we're definitely working on network based versions of Silverfast. These, however, will probably not see the light in Silverfast 6, however, but rather SilverFast 7 or 8.

Kind regards

Most recently 12/27/2006 before to update to the new versus SilverFast Ai IT8 Studio (Multi-Exposure) 603,33?, upgrade price 183,26? I asked them if network interface was now supported.
Here the answerd:

Dear Stephane,

I am sorry, SilverFast cannot be used with network scanners.

Please try a demoversion, if your scanner runs with your system configuration.

So perhaps if network users asked them the question if network scanner will be soon supported are they going to make it work really soon.

Lets hope for the new year 2007

Stephane
