Output Proportion

Hello! I'm using an Epson 3200 photo with SF SE 6.2. When scanning a reflective original, when I change the resolution to something higher than 300 for Photo prints, the percentage often changes to something smaller than 100%, and I can't change either the percentage or the output size to what I want without opening the "Scan Pilot", which I don't otherwise need or want. Is there anything I can do to keep it from changing? Or at least to let me change it to what I need? (I do have reasons to use a higher resolution)

Thank you!
Joanna

you probably have Descreening turned on. because descreening is designed to recombine the dots from an offset printer, the resolution is limited to something based on the density of the offset printer screen. increasing the resolution further would do nothing to improve the quality of the picture (a personal tiff I have with TV shows when their techs get to extrapolate 'higher detail' from surveillance video).

if you turn off descreening, you'll be free to increase resolution and proportion any way you wish.

So that's it--you're right, I was using descreening. At least now I know. Thank you very much!

No more resolution restrictions with the new Descreening!
