Slides on Epson Expression 10K XL Photo

I'm trying to scan slides on an Epson Expression 10000 XL Photo. I had jigs that will let me place 30 plides on the scanning bed, or I can do about 40 by laying them edge-to-edge.
But the Silverfast software won't let me make multiple scans in transparency mode. When I Control+drag to copy a frame, it won't let me. If I draw another frame, it makes the first frame vanish.
Is this a "feature", that I can't scan more than one slide in batch mode? If so, it's not a very well thought out one.

No answers so far? I could relly use a solution to this. The Epson software is nowhere near as good as Silverfast. LIke most scanning software, it is dumbed down to near uselessness. It's like driving a car with utomatic transmission, windshield wipers, turn signals, seat belts, mirrors, headlights, and no cup holder.

Do you use the
SE version? The
SE version doesn't allow batch scanning and is therefore limited to one scan frame. You might try the
Ai demo.

I am using SilverFast AI 6.4.0r7 for Windows. OS is Windows 2000.

Still no help? I responded to LSI_Magnussen's (Ralf) post from a week ago, but it was no help, as it referred to a program I'm not using.
The limitation of the Epson software make it nearly unusable. But the inability to batch scan slides makes the Silverfast sofware totally unusable.
This is a tremendous disappointment.

I must frankly say, that I do not understand, why you shouldn't be able to drag more than one scan frame. First of all you should maybe try to
update to the latest version.
If this doesn't help, please don't hesitate to contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff at
https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html, as we will need more infos to find that problem.
Best regards

I am using the latest update to SilverFast AI on your website. When I try to copy a scanning frame (press control after I start dragging the orignal frame) the curson changes to a generic NO (as in No Smoking, No Left Turn, etc.) and won't let me drag the frame further.

What you describe to copy a frame (pressing Ctrl after you start dragging the original frame) should work, at least it does work for me - I get the Plus cursor and not the NO cursor when pressing Ctrl.
Anyway: There's another way to copy a frame: Just Alt-Klick at the upper left corner of the wanted location of the new frame (has to be outside of the original frame). Does THIS work for you, or is this broken, too?
Best regards
Ralf

That Alt+click trick works, and I like it! I have heard from LaserSoft tech support that the control+drag copying not working is a bug. Understand it does work with reflective matter, but not with transmissive.
