Kodachrome Calibration Result Poor

My reflective calibration using the SF target went without a hitch. My attempt with a Kodak Q-60 target for Kodachrome didn't do nearly as well.
In the main panel I setup General as Normal, Transparency, Positive and Frame as 48 bit colour, None, and Standard. Did the prescan, clicked on the IT8 calibration icon and aligned the target.
Since the targets are different on the far right side (Kodak has a face and flesh tones), I'm concerned that might be a problem. I decided to go ahead anyway. When asked for the reference file, I used the file from Kodak. I got this file from the Kodak reference file ftp site. The file extension was .q60, but it looked to be a text file and SFast wanted a text file, so I changed the extension to txt. A second opportunity for a mistake on my part.
The end result was dull whites and color, especially compared to the reflective results. Any advice would be most appreciated.
