LaserSoft Imaging

I am using the latest version of Silverfast on a Mac OSX10.2 with a Epson 2450. Silverfast put the indexed number after the extension. Like this: filename.jpg0001. I scanned in 300 or so photos like this. Being that I am new to a mac I thought the OS was hiding the extension but upon exporting the jpgs to my win2k workstation I find that every extension is screwed up!

Obviously I want the number index to be before the extension.

How do I keep this from happening again??

don't include the extension in your specified name.

when batch processing, I leave the Name field blank (ie, <untitled>) and then specify the name in the File dialog.

I would use a name such as "Los Angeles in 2004 " with a space at the end. SF will then automatically add the 4-digit index and the extension to get "Los Angeles 2004 0008.jpg".

many people have asked for better naming options in SF without success. conversely, v**s**n has great naming options but I prefer SF's functionality.
