AI 6.0 1.2 Rel 10 Upgrade hangs up in preview

I just upgraded to Rel 10. Using Photoshop 7 and Mac OS 10.2.5. Epson 1680 USB.

When I choose preview from the SilverFast plugin menu in Photoshop, the scanner gets hung up after the first 5 seconds or so of scanning. The indicator lights go off, and nothing happens, except the "beach ball" keeps spinning in SilverFast.

The only way to stop this is to Force Quit, or, easier, to unplug and replug the USB cable.

I have trashed all pref files, trashed the SilverFast app and reinstalled, and reinstalled my Epson drivers. Also moved the USB plug to another recepticle.

I can do a scan - just can't do a preview.

I am thinking there is a link to a scratch disk that is needed during preview that is missing, or something like that.

BTW, this has happened before when upgrading. The only thing I hav'nt done is trash my PS prefs, which I will do next...

Nope, trashing the PhotoShop prefs does'nt work either.

Forgot to mention that everything worked just fine before the attempted upgrade...

I think, you get this error, when you choose a big width (problem also in the topic ES1000C). Could you check there, if this dicribe your problem ?

We found a bug and fix it now. In the upcomming 6.0.2r21 it should be solved.
