That's the version I have. The scanner works fine with Epson software.

I've been experiencing this same problem of late. When it happens, I have to reboot my computer to get it to work properly.

I'm running on XP Pro, with the 3200. I'm at work right now so can't check which build of Ai 6 I'm running but will do so when I get home this evening.

My copy of Silverfast is registered and I have yet to receive a username and password for downloading upgrades.

You folks have got great software (generally speaking) but your support infrastructure leaves something to be desired.

Hello Everybody, I just joined this forum. I recently bought my Epson 3200 & upgraded the software to AI. I read your post yesterday and I remembered something similar happening to me too. But i was not too sure. So last night i tried to do the same scan again and here is what I found happens with my scanner.

When you choose, Scan to file, somehow all the applications are closed and the scan process continues. It does finish and prompt you to give a file name to the scan at the end. I have a Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz with 1 GB or RAM & Wildcard VP 128MB Video Card. The scan size was around 6 MB and it took about 3 or 4 minutes for this scan to finish on my computer. Comming to the point, what i would suggest you to try is scan a very small size picture or negative (in terms of final scan final size). What I am suspecting is that your scan size is probably much more, something like 50 or 60 MB. That is why it is taking so much time.
It is just my humble opinion.
