Best app to use with Silverfast for lots of scanning

Greetings,

I am scanning alot of photos using the Epson 2450 and the latest ver. of Silverfast AI. I was using ACDsee and SF Twain to scan and organize as I go. Thumbnails of photos, auto file name indexing, move photos in order, etc. Very nice combo except SF and ACDsee don't play well together. About 1 in every 25 4"x6" photo I get an error telling me there is no twain scanner connected. I have to shut down SF and ACDsee, cycle power on the epson and start back up.

2 questions:

1. Why does this happen with ACDsee? and is it fixable?

2. Is there another program that will allow me to easily scan and organize hundreds of photos I scan?

Thanks

take a look at Lasersoft's new upgrade - VLT (Virtual Light Table). it might be what you are looking for. note that the current release is for Mac OS X only.

So when do you think VLT will be available for PC? Looks like a great app.

Dear williamconifer.

The VLT for PC will be available soon. We are coding the last few features early this week and will have test sessions later this week. I hope the PC version can be released next week.

Eric.
