Keeps crushing at certain settings on 120 film

Hello

I use EPSON v600 on Mac running 10.11.6.
When I scan 120 film, at 6400DPI, the software crashes right before it starts to process the image after scanner has finished scanning, and picture does not get saved. I tried JPEG or TIFF and same result.

When scanning at 3200DPI, scans and saves image without problem, but if I enable iSRD, then it crashes.

Any idea why this is happening?

The Mac has 8GB RAM, and I've shutdown all other applications that I can shut down.

Many thanks in advance.

Dear user,

The v600 has an internal memory limit of 4GB and can not deliver larger files.
Please switch to the 48 Bit or 48 Bit HDR RAW output and check the estimated file size.
This should not be over 4GB.

Also make sure you have the latest update installed.

Kind regards,
Arne

Hi Arne

I checked and it is only 1.11GB (scanning 6x6 120 medium format film).
The result is same and the scanner crushed.

I also tried 35mm film, and it caused at 6400dpi with iSRD turned on.

Do you have any idea?

Thank you,
Shin
