New V850 - upgrade silverfast?

Hello

I just installed my new Epson V850 which include Silverfast SE Plus and X-Rite i1 Scanner with IT8 targets.

i1 is installed and working on my mac with 10.12.5, working OK but it looks to me that X-rite no longer have this in their line up.

Thinking about upgrading the include SE Plus to SE AI Studio with the enclosed offer that came with the scanner.

But, as far as I can understand by some posts here, I do not need to buy IT8 targets from Silverfast, but can use the ones included with from X-Rite?
I have the reference files in txt format for the targets.
Would be nice to save some and not have to buy new IT8 targets.

Can anyone confirm that I can use the IT8 targets from X-Rite, made by Monaco Systems with Silverfast AI Studio 8?

Thanks

Kjell Arne

Dear Kjell,

if your target is a IT8-target and if you have the reference file in .txt, you will be able to make the calibration with SilverFast :-)

Best regards

hello

Thanks, upgraded to AI Studio, and with a little more effort, the included IT8 targets from X-Rite works great.

And since I "saved" some money not having to buy new IT8 targets, I got the printer calibration also.

The Epson V850 is a great upgrade from my 2004 Epson Perfection 4870, no warm up time, and quicker scans, and a bit quieter.

Hello !

Please where is it possible to find the files corresponding to the x-rite IT8 targets given with the Epson V850 for use with Silverfast AI Studio 8 ?
I found nothing in the x-rite site proposed on the target (http://www.xrite.com/support/ezcolor)

Thanks !! :)

Dear user,

You will need to contact the x-rite support about that. They can supply the necessary file. We, unfortunately, do not have that available.

Kind regards
Arne
