Dear user,
Please check if you maybe have selected one of the HDR(i) RAW format.
These archive formats are saved unprocessed and look very dark due to the lack of any gamma adjustment.
They are meant to be processed in our SilverFast
HDR studio software.
For a regular output make sure the bit depth for example is set to 48->24.
Kind regards,
Arne

Dear user,
Are you using the supplied film holders?
If not make sure the calibration area at the beginning of the scan area remains clear. Any material there can disturb the scans and cause strange brightness values.
You can further increase the mid-tone correction effect by manually raising the gradation curve.
However it sounds strange that the images should be so dark with the film itself looking normal.
You did remember to switch to positive mode did you?
Kind regards,
Arne
