Does v500 support iSRD?

I am confused as to whether SilverFast 8 supports iSRD for my Epson Perfection V500 scanner. Old forum threads say SilverFast can't access the IR channel on this scanner and my installation of SilverFast has the "SRDx" button, not "iSRDx, yet the LaserSoft website shows the V500 as a supported scanner for the IR channel. Anybody know the true status of this? I just switched to using SilverFast, obviously I am no expert on its features. Thanks
