Hi first time film scanner, silverfast user and epson user here.

This is my first attempt at a wet scan ever, this was done direct to scanner bed emulation down.

I'm after your review of the results, in terms of available detail. and if it there are any methods to increase detail that I should try. Even if its just to say that it about right. I have done not sharpening, this are straight out of scanner, btw I know dust and big bubble on the left issues are present.

your opinion is welcome, thanks

Dear user,

The amount of detail mainly depends on the chosen resolution.
On some combinations it even is possible to scan at a resolution above the actual resolution given by the film material.
In such a case you will start to see the film grain. If that is not desired you should test which resolution is giving the best amount of detail by comparing scans at 100% view. Using a viewer in 100% is important because it makes sure you do not get any scaling effects from the image viewer itself.
You can also activate the 1:1/HQ view in silverFast itself for that. Scanning at the highest resolution does not always deliver the best result.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
