 Hello,

I am reading as much as possible to try and discover what the best and/or recommended color settings are for SF6 Ai, PS 7 and my Windows XP system. I love the versatility of both programs, but am overwhelmed by all the possible color settings. So far, I have read that most need to be set to: Epson Adobe RGB 1998 for the scanner and PS workspace etc. I thought that I wouldn't need an IT8 reference, and have read in the forum that the one for film negatives is worthless. Any owners of the 2450 and SF 6 and PS 7, Windows or Mac that can shed some light my way would be appreciated. I have been able to get some pretty good scans, but the color adjustments possible are numerous. Would like to start at a true reference point, and if IT8 is it, I'll start saving my coinage. Thanks in advance! FYI, printer is a Canon S9000.

IT8 does not function on film negatives!!
The SilverFast IT8 calibration will render an device characteristic profile for reflective material and for positiv film material. That is all it does.
