Hello,
I would like to purchase a used Polaroid Sprintscan 120 with Silverfast AI/HDR 5.5 but I have read on this website that Mac OS X 10.5 is not supported unlike with the "brother" Microtek 120tf. Is it a matter of firmware? Are you working in order to support Leopard with the SS120?
Many thanks!
Leo

Dear Leo,

I am not aware of a 10.5 problem with the SS120.
To make sure, please download our SilverFast demo version for this scanner.

If it should be a firmware problem, one possibility would be to change the firmware to a Microtek one.

Best regards
Martin

Currently, I am successfully using a sprintscan 120 with 6.4.4r6 and OSX 10.4.11. However, I would like to migrate to 10.5 and note that you show the ss120 as not supported. I am open to upgrading to the current version of silverfast as well. Please help me understand my options.

Do you intend to support the ss120 and 10.5 with any version of silverfast?

What are the known issues using silverfast with the ss120 and 10.5?

There are references in earlier posts to an EEPROM replacement available from microtek. Is that information current?

Thanks,

McD

Martin,

Both 6.4.4r6 and 6.6.0r3 seem to work normally in 10.5. I'm using them for XP2 only.
