When Inserting the medium format carrier, silverfast assumes the frames are 6x4 cm. THere must be a simple way to tell it my frames are 6x6 cm?

Yes there is a REALLY simple way to tell it otherwise. Push the little button on the left hand side of the preview window that has 645 written on it and it will change to 6by6 or 6by7 or 6by9 depending on how many times you press the button.

Thank you Ian -- I should have figured that the one button that has gibberish on it - nothing that looks like numbers -- and has no explanation attached to it -- is the one I need.

we'd appreciate any suggestions re scanning the whole neg strip - scanner not recognising gaps between 645 frames and cropping images at end of strip...surely there is a alternatative to scanning each frame separately??
we've tried adjusting film formats but the options available don't solve the problem
would prefer to scan the whole strip - is there a default for this??

Dear Estherb,
you probably work with an older SilverFast version. Please look at our download site for updates.
