Epson GT-1200 on Windows 7

I use Silverfast AI with a GT12000 scanner connected by a SCSI adapter AHA-2940UW to Windows XP : it works!

Now, I would like to migrate to Window 7 64 bits. The adapter AHA-2940UW is not and will not be supported with this OS.

The only adapter SCSI-2 that is available, that can be used with the GT12000 and has a driver for Windows 7 is the Adaptec 2930LP.

Is the Silverfast software dependant on the SCSI card model ? has it been tested with the Adaptec 2930LP.

No, it is not really dependant on SCSI card model. As long as the SCSI card is fully compatible and supported by the operating system, and the scanner is properly connected and correctly recognized by the system, SilverFast should work.

Your scanner has not been tested under Windows 7.

Cheers
