LaserSoft Imaging

I?ve got a new Kodak RFS 3600 Film Scanner and want to let it run on my operating system Win ME. Host software is the provided Photoshop 5.0 LE. The scanner software both Kodak and SilverFast can be installed without any problems.<p>

Using Kodak Scanner Software:<br>
Starting to scan by clicking on import a Twain Source cancels process immediately. Error message says: missing firmware. It?s also not possible to upgrate the Firmware in Photoshop because there?s no upgrade button on the About screen.<p>
Using SilverFast Ai5:<br>
Starting to scan by clicking on import SilverFast(Kodak) opens the software correctly. By clicking on preview scanner starts to work (warming up and calibrating). After about 30 to 45 seconds an error message pops up. It says following:<br>
Photoshp hat in SDKDLL RFS3600.DLL einen Fehler verursacht. Photoshp wird geschlossen. (in english: Photoshp has error in SDKDLL RFS3600.DLL. Photoshp will be closed.)<br>

PHOTOSHP verursachte einen Teilungsfehler in Modul SDKDLL RFS3600.DLL bei 0187:057863c9.

Dear Sam,
it seems that you have not the correct device drivers installed, because no software can properly work with the scanner. Please check out the Kodak Website (and our Download site) for software updates.
