have updated to windows vista home premium and just upgraded to what is, I assume the latest version of Silverfast. Silverfast launches OK but when it is told to prescan, the Epson 4180 scanner light begins to flash but does nothing more. Eventually Silverfast says it cannot find a scanner. Windows device manager says device is working properly. Any ideas. Epson software ver 3.x seems to work fine. Have not had Silverfast that long and could get disillusioned as it seemed great under XP

We are aware of the problem and are already working on a solution. Please keep an eye on our version history- it will be listed there as soon as an updated version becomes available.

beginning to wonder why I spent the 70 dollars (am in the UK) for the software. Since upgrading to vista cannot get it to work. Epson software works fine. When are we getting a fix for the Epson Perfection 4180. It appears that the 4490 problems have been addressed. Is it my firewall? Is it Vista? Is it the scanner drivers? Will go back to using Epson only If no answer soon.
